NaNoWriMo

So NaNoWriMo is very,  very close! This will be the first time I've  participated in NaNoWriMo. I had never heard about it, until about a month ago. So for those out there who were like me, this is what NaNoWriMo is.

NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, which is November. And basically the point is to write a complete novel in 30 days. CRAZY RIGHT!  Just get the words on the page. Then in The months that follow, you perfect, rewrite, and edit it.  Usually the goal is 60,000 words, but I have seen more and less depending on the source. Some people just set there own goal of words. NaNoWriMo for children hase a different word count too. There's a website with checkpoints and stuff http://nanowrimo.org/ ,but a lot of people do it on there own. Some libraries  have events for NaNoWriMo also.
Think about it. A whole novel in a month. I'm sure there's writers who can sympathize with me. It takes a lot to write a story. The mental and emotional strain is rough. But when it's over that feeling of accomplishment is so worth it. Besides it's a good excuse to eat candy and take it easy for awhile. :)
I love writing. NaNoWriMo is gonna be a blast. But I might need something special to push me on those cold mornings. Here I have put together my survival kit.

My NaNoWriMo Survival Kit

• Fuzzy Socks
Yep. I have that favorite pair. In the bag they go.

•Wrist Warmers
Let's just say, it gets cold around here!

•My favorite pen/ or a NEW ONE!
  I just love new pens

•A Bran new Pencil
  A fresh black Ticonderoga :)

•An Unused notebook
It's easier for me to use a note book than a computer/ laptop. But if u are using a laptop I still recommend having a pad of paper by your side

• Post it Notes
I got three different colors. that way I can separate my ideas into catogories and stick it to whatever.

• a kneadable eraser
This is a must have for me. Playdoh would work too, but I can kill 2 birds with one stone. It can usually be found at any craft store.  At the sketching/art section.

• Hot Tea/ coffee
I'm a tea person myself. I love earl grey and berry zinger. I might get something new to try. coffee lovers might want to splurge on a special blend for the occasion.

• A BaBy Name Book

• this picture:)

Thx to http://phoenixdragondreamer.deviantart.com/ for putting this together! inspiration from 11

• Candy
I don't get candy often. Halloween candy has been put on sale. A piece of candy corn here and there won't hurt anything ;)

• A Flash Drive
I plan to dictate what I have written into the computer using dragon, at least once a week. That way I don't have to manually count my words.
Saving your story on this is a really, really good idea. Computers crash, break, " accidently" delete.... Lets just say computers love to ruin our day sometimes.

I just cleaned off my desk! Guess what it's made of, brown wood! Not sheet paper, pens, my last three projects...
Anyway, I'm ready.
  Are u?
What do U do special for NaNo? I would love to know, feel free to comment!
